Environment From a global village to the city of tomorrow Spread over three municipalities in the Seine-Saint-Denis (93) department, the Olympic and Paralympic Village will be home to nearly 15,000 athletes during the Games. Not to mention all the team members and delegations. But life in the Village will not end the day after the Games. It will become a neighbourhood in its own right for the people of Seine-Saint-Denis,

in symbiosis with the exemplary environment that Paris 2024 aims to create, and will be home to 6,000 residents. They will live in an innovative district designed to be a veritable laboratory for the city of the future (using biodegradable materials, geothermal energy and solar panels, and architecture that encourages air circulation, to name but a few). Not to forget the 8,876 trees planted on the site!

Sans oublier les 8876 arbres plantés sur le site du village! salon Gustave Ei el, niché au premier étage de la tour Ei el, une croisière exclusive sur la Seine, une visite VIP du Louvre, etc. La plus intense : celle d’être assis à quelques mètres seulement de la ligne d’arrivée lors des compétitions d’athlétisme! Elles étaient à l’époque 22 pour 975 athlètes hommes! Ce seront les premiers Jeux Olympiques paritaires de l’histoire. C’est d’ailleurs à Paris, en 1900, que les Jeux Olympiques s’ouvrirent 10500 athlètes pour les Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024 5,250 women out of 10,500 athletes at the Olympic Games. _
