Côté jardin C’est l’autre versant du musée, dédié au végétal. De 1895 à 1920, Albert Kahn acquiert, parcelle après parcelle, 4,2 hectares autour de sa résidence. Il y fait planter un «précieux jardin à scènes paysagères » où se côtoient di érents tableaux : jardins français et anglais, verger-roseraie, marais, prairie, forêt dorée, jardin dit «alpino-japonais». Une nature en mosaïque, à arpenter tout particulièrement au printemps. Garden side Another side of the museum is dedicated to plants. Between 1895 and 1920, Albert Kahn acquired 4.2 ha (10.4 ac) of land around his residence, where he planted a ‘precious garden with landscape scenes’, including French and English gardens, an orchard-rose garden, a marsh, meadows, a golden forest, and an ‘Alpine-Japanese’ garden. It’s a natural mosaic that is particularly beautiful in spring.

Sans oublier un espace dédié aux plus petits, pour s’initier de façon ludique et interactive à l’art de regarder. À l’occasion de sa réouverture, le musée invite également à dé- couvrir l’exposition Autour du Monde. La traversée des images, d’Albert Kahn à Curiosity , qui se tient jusqu’au 13 novembre. Une exploration des représentations du voyage et des figures du voyageur à travers la photographie et le film, du début du XX e siècle jusqu’à aujourd’hui. creating a skilful dialogue between the museum and the gardens so dear to Kahn. To achieve this, the creator of Tokyo’s Olympic stadiumwas inspiredby the Japanese concept of engawa : a transition space between in- terior andexterior. There’s also a fun, interactive space dedicated to kids. On the occasion of its reopening, the museum is also hosting the exhibit Around the World: The Crossing of Images, from Albert Kahn toCuriosity , until November 13. It’s a true explorationof repre- sentations of travel from the beginning of the 20 th century to the present.
