L ’œuvre de Domínikos Theotokópoulos, dit Le Greco, connaît un rapport orageux avec la postérité. Il aura fallu attendre 2019 pour que la France lui consacre sa première grande exposition monographique, qui va lui permettre d’être redécouvert par le grand public. Né en 1541, ce Crétois resta très apprécié de son vivant mais fut délaissé après sa disparition (1614 à Tolède,) pendant plus de deux siècles.
