Si ce bâtiment, construit en 1839 dans un style néogothique, est devenu un incontournable de l’Art déco, c’est pour son immense vitrail, réalisé en 1930 et inspiré de La Vague de l’artiste japonais Hokusai. Un motif asiatique choisi en hommage au Passée de main en main et théâtre de drames et de morts suspectes, celle-ci eut longtemps la réputation d’être une maison hantée! Elle accueille désormais un restaurant péruvien, nommé Villa Yora. 2, rue Frochot, Paris 9 e . Pigalle SPENDORS OF THE ORIENT This 1839 neo-Gothic building became an Art Deco icon thanks to its immense stained-glass window. Created in 1930, the windows with Asian motifs were inspired by Hokusai’s The Great Wave , a tribute to the former Shanghai Cabaret that was housed in the Villa. The building has long had a reputation for being haunted, following its various dramas and suspicious deaths. It is now home to the Peruvian restaurant Villa Yora.
