1 UN CHÂTEAU FOU Dunnottar Castle, au nord-est de l’Écosse, est posé en haut d’une avancée rocheuse couverte d’herbe rase. Le panorama sur les falaises qui tombent dans la mer du Nord se révèle fantastique. La visite des ruines, qui remontent au XIII e siècle, donne un bon aperçu du passé mouvementé des lieux, balayés par les tempêtes, pillés, incendiés ou assiégés pendant huit mois par l’armée de Cromwell au XVII e siècle.
