P aris Aéroport’s cultural mission to feature art in our airports and give passengers free access to prestigious exhibitions is exemplified by our partnership with the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac. The museum boasts one of the world’s largest collections of non-European art, with 370,000 artworks and objects from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the

Americas. Open to the world, the museum is an ideal partner for Paris Aéroport and our passengers. The exhibition “Explorer’s Journeys,” at Paris-Charles de Gaulle’s Espace Musées, highlights more than 70 works representing the wealth of the museum’s collections, dedicated to the history of travel through great explorers and ethnologists who contributed to the diversity of the Musée du Quai Branly’s collections. The exhibit includes pieces from the collections of the famous French anthropologist and ethnologist Claude Lévi-Strauss, art collected by Alexandra David-Neel, an explorer and one of the first Tibetologists, plus narrations of the 1934-1936 Korrigane scientific expedition and Antoine Mattei’s19th-century explorations of Africa. A series of photographs of some of the most emblematic pieces awaits travelers upon their arrival: an anthropomorphic mask, a headdress, a female statue, and much more. A stimulating invitation to discover in the landing gangways at Paris-Charles de Gaulle’s west wing in Terminal 2F.
